Born in Redondo Beach Dec.6 1986, Jordan Faas AkA "The
Ronin" began his dodgeball career in the small, enclosed games of
theTemecula Valley High School wrestling room during his entire high school
career along with current teammate and friend Jerry Byrne. With those roots
he quickly adjusted from the game played with volleyballs and a court no
bigger than a wrestling mat, where acrobatics were a commonplace, to what
is now seen as the most legitimate and mainstream version of the game: 6on6
with 6 rubber 8.5" playground balls. Faas then adapted to the pinch throw
in less than 6 months of "real" dodgeball experience as well as the dodging
ability of a player half his size. He is no stranger to boosting team
morale as well as amping up his team and crowd with his outrageous yet
creative celebrations. He is seen as a defensive machine and a clutch "last
man standing" with the ability to throw at numerous angles as well as
superb deflecting skills and cat like
agility.
