The Coalition of the NDA and IDBF

The National Dodgeball Association (NDA) is currently working with the International Dodgeball Federation (IDBF) in hopes of promoting dodgeball as an Olympic sport. The overall future of dodgeball as an Olympic contender must meet certain requirements such as public exposure by having national (USA) and international dodgeball tournaments. Both the IDBF and NDA have taken steps in promoting dodgeball as a high level sports with highly skilled players.

For instance, the NDA is currently holding a national tournament on May 12, 2007. The US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona will be the place where 10,000 plus fans will come and see the best of the best dodgeball players. The NDA is contracting the best highly skilled players to showcase the growth of the sport. Contracted players will receive the following amenities: free tournament play, free travel expenses, free room and board. Yet, as the NDA plans to keep high skilled players under contract to tour the nation's tournaments, contracted players must keep their game in top form or risk being left off the contracted NDA team. A battle of skills and showcase is planned for those who have the heart and desire to give it their all. Do you have the skills to be picked up by the NDA and tour nationally? The IDBF and NDA are starting to make the ball bounce in the right direction by working with leagues and Parks and Recreation Departments to help develop young talented and motivated players nationwide. By providing guidance and leadership in the arena of dodgeball, the NDA's membership will also help solidify and protect young players or athletes with health insurance if any injury should result during league or tournament play. The NDA and IDBF understand the essential needs of protecting players from harm and making sure that if by any chance there is an injury that players are covered for their medical expenses.
